Currently a Senior Software Engineer at GitHub working on Copilot Code Review, formerly at Apple working on what is now Private Cloud Compute.

I have been fortunate to have a diverse career — Sun Microsystems, Boeing, IBM, VMware, Apple, and now Microsoft/GitHub — spanning systems engineering, field engineering, SRE, and software engineering.

For the last sixteen years I have enjoyed engineering on the bleeding edge at both Apple and GitHub - large-scale cloud infrastructure, AI developer tools, and the operational systems that make them real.

I enjoy the blurry line where product engineering meets operations: APIs, orchestration, reliability, deployment pipelines, and the operational details that decide whether software survives contact with reality. Developer productivity has always been a focal area (who doesn’t want to help themselves after all?). These days that means AI with its potential benefits and pitfalls. It’s never been a more interesting time to be in the field.
